One Year Later with the Monnin Sisters

January 26, 2022

One Year Later, we catch up with the Monnin Sister's as they pull a chirstmas tree

thank you

We can't believe it has been one whole year since Jason surprised 2 young sisters - Maggie and Charlie - on the TODAY show with Liberty Trikes!

If you remember, the Monnin sisters are battling the same neurodegenerative disease (spinal muscular atrophy) and owning the Liberty Trikes have given them the mobility they both were so excited to gain. Despite the disease that they've been strongly battling, their smiles were a lot brighter on that day. This was one of the best Liberty Trike experiences!

A special note from their father, Scott Monnin:

What a difference a year makes. We were reflecting on the wild and crazy last year, with all the twist and turns. We are so extremely grateful for the gift of the bikes; the girls have combined for over 300 miles. Those are 300 miles that would have never happened without you and your generosity! We have made some great family memories along those miles. We have been caught in pop-up rain storms, we sang Christmas songs with speakers hanging off the back, the girls used them to help us find a Christmas tree in field. Whether it was a peaceful after-dinner ride or an adventure, these are memories that would have not otherwise been created. We can't say thank you enough.

Thanks,
The Monnin Family

thank you

Check out this awesome video of one of the girls helping the family out by pulling the Christmas tree that they had just chopped down. "It was awesome to have them helping us out," said Scott.

We are on a mission to get more kids on trikes. This year, Jason Kraft plans to donate to 20 more kids!
